Our favorite party girl Yasmin has set the tabloids ablaze again with her latest public stunt: walking the red carpet at the Rhydin Nights premiere with a slithery friend! Photos caught the actress/DJ in some intimate moments with her snake companion. Is this snake actually Yasmin’s new shy-for-the-camera shifter boyfriend or girlfriend? Only time will tell!

Was there a phrase in a song, an outfit, a fragment of dialogue, a single action, a specific theme? How do your characters bloom and develop? Do they come to you fully formed or just a single piece you then have to mold and build?
We see so many videos of the artist’s process in bringing something to life from a blank canvas or a formless ball of clay. But how do you as the writer build, carve,or mold your characters?

I was inspired by the stories, reflected not just in the bible (the unnamed Roman piercing christ with Saint Longinus) but also in literature and cinema, of ‘the immortal centurion.’ A soldier who guarded, forever, that which was valuable. I wondered what that would be like for the centurion to lose what he was supposed to guard and if that happened where he would go and what he would do. Would he assign himself people/things to protect? That, wrapped in the desire for the character to be the antithesis of the suave male love figures, was how Tag was made.
In 1998 Tag, the displaced centurion from the East, came to Rhy’Din and he’s been learning, growing and expanding ever since. Despite everything that’s happened to him, he still trusts readily and shows an enormous capacity to love those around him, even if the expression is in short-lived smiles. He is still that centurion, thinking for days in quiet labor about the world around him and who is in it.

Our favorite all-girl band Trash treated the Marketplace with an impromptu concert today including a sneak preview performance of “Kiss from a Rose” from the upcoming Rhydin Nights soundtrack. Their cover of “Roxanne” had the City Blog offices in a fandom tizzy!
